Help Amplify VPC for Niner Nation Gives (March 31-April 2, 2026)

Categories: Uncategorized

The UNC Charlotte Violence Prevention Center is proud to participate in UNC Charlotte’s annual Niner Nation Gives campaign. This initiative provides an opportunity to invest in work that strengthens communities through research, education, and training.

The Center addresses some of today’s most pressing issues, including human trafficking, sexual and dating violence prevention, suicide prevention, and LGBTQ+ health. This work is grounded in collaboration, with partnerships that extend from local organizations in Charlotte to national and international institutions.

Support for the Violence Prevention Center advances this work in several key ways:

Student Support
Gifts help provide hands-on training opportunities for students preparing to become violence prevention practitioners and scholars.

Pilot Research Funding
Early-stage research projects are supported through seed funding, allowing innovative ideas to develop into larger, externally funded initiatives.

Training and Education
Contributions expand access to evidence-based training for professionals and community members, equipping them with tools to recognize, respond to, and prevent violence.

As part of this year’s campaign, all gifts to the Violence Prevention Center Fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar (up to $1,000), increasing the impact of each contribution.
