The UNC Charlotte Violence Prevention Center (VPC) is a multidisciplinary research center that approaches violence prevention from a multidisciplinary social-ecological perspective. Our team leverages knowledge and skills related to multiple violence types (e.g., intimate partner violence, sexual assault, gun violence, self-directed violence); underserved and marginalized populations (e.g., Black youth, sexual and gender minority, military); and methodologies (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, social media, dyadic, community participatory action).
