Chris Lombardi is an Army veteran and undergraduate student at UNC Charlotte, pursuing a Bachelor of Social Work and entering his first year of the upper division program. Chris plans to pursue a MSW and become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with a focus on grief and bereavement counseling, hospice and palliative care, and the psychosocial dimensions of death and dying. He also has a strong interest in care farming and therapeutic horticulture, and hopes to integrate nature-based, reciprocity-centered practices into his future clinical work. He is currently volunteering with the Caring Masculinity Lab, where he has the honor of learning under Dr. Braveheart Gillani and Dr. Jessamyn Moxie. Chris also works as a Peer Mentor for the University Center of Academic Excellence (UCAE).
