Rain is an undergraduate student pursuing a B.S. in Public Health and Sociology. They work with Dr. Moxie on research including two papers recently submitted for publication on risk perception and mitigation of sexual choking among alt-sex practitioners, along with projects on health communication preferences (with a focus on zines), perimenopause and romance, and a zine-based vision for a violence-free Charlotte. Rain is passionate about using art to disseminate research, with interests spanning climate change, health policy, mental health, and maternal and child health. Ultimately, they aim to make an impact in their community by lessening the incidence and impact of all kinds of violence.
