Dr. Jenkins is an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work. Her program of research focuses on promoting positive mental and behavioral health among individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, particularly through examining risk factors for (and prevention of) violence and exploitation, including human trafficking. She believes that community engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration are crucial for developing comprehensive interpersonal violence prevention programming that balances safety and empowerment of marginalized populations.
