Matthew Vanden Bosch, Ph.D.

Dr. Vanden Bosch is an assistant professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology. His research focuses on bias motivated offenses, public opinion, and scale development and validation. Among other research, he has created a scale to capture beliefs in stereotypical bias crimes, helped to establish a novel typology of bias motivated offenses, and compared reporting practices of law enforcement agencies in states with different hate crime laws.
