David Chau

David Chau is an undergraduate student at UNC Charlotte majoring in Psychology. Currently a sophomore, soon to be a junior, he hopes that this will provide him a good basis and structure as he hopes to get his Master’s in Counseling. David believes in the importance of mental health and sociological and emotional connection, especially among college and high school students. He hopes to one day work in counseling and psychological services in a capacity similar to CAPS at UNC Charlotte. He’s assisted in the Caring for Men Who Care project within the Department of Social Work, a project emphasizing the importance of mental health even among those who provide services to others, such as doctors, educators, caretakers, and more. Outside of his academics and research, he’s a passionate self-proclaimed “nerd”, sharing a passion for many fandoms, including Dungeons and Dragons and Asian media.
