Jessica is a Master’s student in the School of Social Work, College of Health and Human Services at UNC Charlotte. She currently works as a Mobile Crisis Responder and has a particular interest in serious mental illness, crisis intervention, and complex behavioral health needs. Her professional interests also include solution-focused and strengths-based approaches and improving continuity of behavioral health care. Through her work, Jessica has developed a strong interest in understanding the experiences of individuals living with persistent mental health conditions and the factors that affect treatment access, stability, recovery, and repeated crisis involvement. She values practical, person-centered approaches that build on individual strengths while addressing barriers to effective care. Jessica hopes to become a licensed clinical social worker and continue working with individuals experiencing serious mental illness. Outside of academics and clinical work, she enjoys music, creative projects, and spending time with family and friends.
